SAFETY FOR BUCKETS, MUCKFORKS & BAINBRIDGE ROTARY SWEEPERS

BUCKETS

 

Instructions of use: 

 

  • Do not overload - refer to tractor / loader manual to ensure it is capable of handling the intended load safely. 
  • Do not allow anyone to ride on the bucket. Keep other people away at all times when operating and always be aware of your surroundings. 
  • Check for wear and tare every 3 months. 
  • Be careful of raising bucket anywhere near overhead cables. 
  • Never carry out any work under the raised bucket of a loader without the correct safety supports in place. 
  • Only use the correct brackets specified for the tractor / loader. 

 

MUCKFORKS

 

Instructions of use:

 

  • Do not overload - refer to tractor / loader manual to ensure it is capable of handling the intended load safety. 
  • Do not allow anyone to ride on the muckfork. Keep others away at all times when operating and always be aware of your surroundings. 
  • Check for wear and tare every 3 months. 
  • Be careful of raising the muckfork anywhere near overhead cables. 
  • If any adjustments are to be carried out to the machine, always park on level ground, apply the parking brake, stop the tractor engine and remove ignition key before dismounting the tractor. 
  • Never carry out any work under the raised muckfork of a loader without the correct safety supports in place. 
  • Only use the correct brackets specified for the tractor / loader.  

BAINBRIDGE ROTARY SWEEPERS

 

Instructions of use:

 

  • Read the operators manual before use. 
  • Locate, read and understand the safety symbols attached to the brush. 
  • Never operate the brush with the safety guards removed.
  • Safety guards / mechanisms must be fitted correctly before sweeper operation. 
  • Keep all limbs clear of rotating brush and all moving parts. 
  • Turn off the tractor / telehandler before connecting / disconnecting the brush. 
  • Turn off the tractor / telehandler and disconnect the brush before attempting maintenence. 
  • Hydraulic systems become hot and operate at high pressure. Wear suitable protective clothing and eye protection when connecting / disconnecting. 
  • Ensure all people and property are well clear of the sweeping area. 
  • Sweep at low speeds to minimise flying debris and dust. 
  • Wear a dust mask if sweeping in very dusty conditions. 
  • Never venture under the brush when it is raised on the tractor / telehandler.
